MOUNT FUJI at the boundary of Shizuoka and Yamanashi Prefecture just west of Japan
Mount Fuji is the highest mountain in Japan. It rises at 3,776 meters. An active volcano that last errupted in 1707-1708.
Mount Fuji is surrounded by five lakes...Kawaguchi lake, Yamanaka lake, Sai lake, Motosu lake and Shoji lake. The climate is very cold and the lowest temperature recorded is -38degree.

MAYON VOLCANO at Daraga, Albay

The majestic Mount Mayon is world famous for it is perfectly shaped cone. It rises 2,422 meters. It is still considered to be an active volcano, the last eruption is last 2006. Mount Mayon's most violent recorded eruption was in February 1, 1814 where thousands of people perished and hundreds of land were covered with volcanic lava and dark ash. The Cagasawa ruins of Daraga is one of the structures that testify to the devastating effects of the Mayon Volcano.
